The Center for Community Leadership is a non-profit 501 (C) (3) organization committed to organizational support and enhancement through the promotion of diverse leadership strategies and concrete implementation of leadership development. Founded in 2011, this forum operates as a branch under the umbrella of the National Diversity Council. Its founder, Dennis Kennedy, is known nationally for his diversity work and the creation of the Center for Community Leadership is a response to the expressed need for a comprehensive voice in the area of leadership issues that impact Communities Nationwide. Teaching people how to be advocates, and creating training for existing non-profit leaders, is our primary focus.
Since 2011, we have worked diligently to identify, develop, and empower community members who are able and willing to commit to leadership and service roles in addressing important issues for community sustainability. We take a comprehensive approach to the provision of community leadership development, training and mentorship to existing leaders and those who aspire to attain additional leadership development and service skills.
The role that community leaders play in addressing those issues is essential, and the collective knowledge the community brings causes individuals and organizations to become more accountable and engaged. Through an effective Leadership Forum, we aim together to learn, share and implement sustainable, effective Community Leadership practices. We believe that Communities are critical to great businesses, cities, excellent towns, and a great nation.
